  1. I like this page. I saw him perform Rent in person. Stage show was so much better than the movie. Diggs was in both. Awesome that he follows you on Twitter.

  2. I saw 3 including number one UMR ranked Chicago a 10 and favorite, diggs was 7th billed per letterboxd. no 9s , no 8s, no hidden gems

I completely missed diggs in Chicago as bandleader. thankful it got me to check cast because I found lucy liu 16th billed and a favorite of mine from the television show elementary. in Elementary I am infatuated with Liu’s wardrobe, weird huh, my first and only time that has happened. she was in a dozen movies I enjoyed including kill bill. I am now hoping for a UMR page for this minor actress that I enjoy. after Cogerson completes his priorities especially best actor Oscar winners.

    1. Hey bob cox…..thanks for the feedback on our Taye Diggs page. Glad you enjoyed Chicago. I have only seen Chicago once…and only have vague memories of him in the movie. Did not even realize Lucy Liu was in the movie. I think your suggestion of a Lucy page is a good one. I will have to check out her waredrobe on Elementary. Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey Dan. Thanks for these trivia lists on Taye Diggs. The first list almost made it with nobody being in two of his movies…but good ole William Fichtner made two movies with him. Interesting that both new pages today appeared with 11 Oscar winning co-stars. Good stuff as always.

  4. 1/On top of his film career Taye has appeared in 31 television productions from 1996 until the present time. This year he was in an episode of Celebrity Ghost Stories in which he played himself. Last year as well he was himself in 8 episodes of “Hypnotize Me”. He is currently also in the sports drama series All American which first aired in 2018 and is scheduled to run until at least 2021. Taye plays coach Billy Baker in the series and already has 32 episodes under his belt in seasons 1 and 2 with a further 16 to aire starting Jan next year in season 3.

2/IMDB credits him with 7 acting awards and 21 noms; and when his income was last assessed in 2015 by Celebrity Net Worth he had a nice bank balance of $16 million which would be equivalent to $17 million this year and may well have increased by way of additional earnings since 2015.

3/My own fave Taye performances are in Basic/Way of the Gun/and House on Haunted Hill. A sequel called Returned to House on Haunted Hill went straight to DVD in 2007. I haven’t seen it but the published cast lists suggest Taye isn’t in it. Bruce gives the original just a 44% review rating above. I agree with that but I still as said liked Taye in it. It’s Cogerson adjusted domestic gross of $73 million is not too bad for a c**p horror film.

4/In the pipeline for Taye at pre-production stage is the romantic movie While We Were Dancing in which he is the top-billed star. Let’s hope it goes ahead and does well. As mentioned in my first paragraph viewers will also be seeing hin in the 3rd season of All American next year.

5/In recent weeks we have had excellent new Cogerson pages on for example English/Welsh/Australian/Cambodian-American thespians [of both genders] so it’s good to see the Cogerson site continuing to take its even-handed approach – even The Donald has a page despite initial protest -by now giving us a new profile of another talented African-American performer which I welcome with a “Vote Up”

    1. Hey Bob. Thanks for all the additional information on Taye Diggs. I think his movie career would finish in third place…if his stage work, his tv work and his movie work got in a race. I have seen two of your favorites…..but not House on Haunted Hill. As for the subjects here we try and have a diverse group. Good stuff as always.

    1. Thanks Mike. I actually researched him a couple of years ago, finally got around to writing the page.
