When Yvette’s name was flagged up the only movies of hers that I could immediately think of were Diamond Head and Skyjacked as they were both with my idol Chuck Heston. My not being a sci-fi fan like Steve The Time Machine never attracted my attention.

Indeed looking over her filmography in detail I find that in only 3 [very minor] of her movies did she ever receive top billing and there were no other major stars in those; and as often as not she was well down the cast list in her remaining flicks.

So it struck me that she was a “poor woman’s Myrna Loy” though in fairness to The Thin Woman in her early days she was billed above a couple of great stars such as Al Leach and Tyrone Power; though it must be said that Ty and Archie had not then quite morphed into the mega legends that they have now historically established themselves as.

Alec is No 2 AFI all-time Legend and Ty was in the first “trial” draft of AFI’s list of 50 Legendary names but just missed the final cut; and in the two later films they made together [Bachelor Knight and Mr Blandings] Thins had to accept 2nd billing to Archie.

Whatever happened to Yvette, early 40’s she disappears . I remember she took over in the short lived TV series The Most Deadly Games after Inger Stevens passed. Yvette has never been on the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 She can take heart that she has more connections than Gene Autry. These are the people on the 2020 list she has appeared with.

Hey Dan. Thanks for putting together her trivia lists. You remember a lot more about her than I do. I actually just watched her in Skyjacked..and did not even realize she was the girl from The Time Machine. I used to get Yvette mixed up with Carol Lynley. You are correct she is well connected compared to Gene Autry. Good stuff as always.

I see now that the ranking has been fixed. I see now that I somehow missed seeing Diamond Head listed. I have seen that too, so my total is 9. All of the films I have seen are in the top 10.
