Requests

requests1

Thankfully we get lots of requests for new pages.  Well…the wife recently informed me that my way of collecting my requests was pretty weak.  She seems to think that writing down requests on whatever piece of paper or napkin or bill that is currently on my desk is not the way to do it.  So….since she is way smarter than me….I have decided to create a page just for requests.  Plus it should give a good idea of what pages are coming down the pike.

My logic in picking which page to do next….I lean heavily towards the subject that has the most requests.

  • Roger Corman – request by Dan
  • Peter Cushing – request made by SteveLensman, Dan & Brando 90
  • Disney Live Action 1967-1980 – request by Mimic
  • Foreign Movies requested by Laurent
  • Samuel Goldwyn – request by Dan
  • Sam Katzman – request by Dan
  • Fritz Lang – request by Lupino, Just Me
  • Bruce Lee – request by Brando 90
  • Harold Lloyd – request by Søren, Me
  • Henry Mancini – request by Flora
  • Patricia Medina – request by Dan
  • Mirisch Brothers – request by Dan
  • Edward Small – request by Dan
  • Rudolph Valentino – request by Laurent

Completed requests:

Many more to come…have to find all of my old napkins and transfer the requests to this page.

    1. I will add that to the request list….sadly WoC (Wife of Cogerson) suggested we include the studio in the page….she even put that “button” in the data base…..I of course decided to ignore her suggestion….which means there is lots of research . Thanks for the suggestion.

  1. I have to second that nomination of Fredric March. Won two Oscars. Was a big box office star in the 1930’s. I bought a book which listed the top 20th century ticket-sellers–seems to come out about where you do with the exception of the stars still going–and also broke them down by decade. March was the #5 ticket-seller in the 1930’s. He seems an obvious candidate.

    1. Hey John….I will add your name to Chris’ request for March. I agree he is very deserving. That sounds like s good book to have…..5th is pretty impressive for the entire 1930s decade. Box office success and award success….he might have one of the best combos ever. Thanks for the suggestion.
