        1. It might have been the reference to “NOT her misguided politics….’

Being that there is an election soon in your country, maybe you will start getting lots of references to politics on pages of people who are outspoken in their politics.

Anyway, when I saw there were a bunch of comments on Babra’s page, I thought that it was because she was thinking about producing a remake (starring too? As Mom Rose?) of the musical Gypsy.

That musical is currently on stage where I live, but I don’t think I’ll be able to attend due to time conflicts.

          1. Hey Flora…..yeah I figured that too…..I was pretty much picking back with Gene Reed….who obviously likes Barbra’s political views…..not saying I do or don’t….I just do not put much stock in any celebrity’s political views….either a Republican or Democrat.

Yesterday was her 74th birthday….and the page got a ton of views….with a few comments. I think she is thinking of making a Gypsy movie….could be interesting…her film career is only 19 movies…one more would give her a nice round number of 20.

  1. TCM has has now put up at a Memorial Schedule for Omar Sharif. It is on Monday 21st and they are airing Dr. Zhivago, Funny Girl, and Funny Lady in that order.

    1. Hey Flora….thanks for the news of the TCM Omar Sharif Memorial Schedule……too bad they did not include Lawrence of Arabia. I will put that on my Septemeber 21st schedule.

  2. Great job you’ve done on Barbra. She’s starred in wonderful movies being YENTL one of my Top 5. She is incredible versatile either as a drama, action or comic movie. I must admit I didn’t quite enjoy her two last movies (TGT and Little Fockers) only because I am
a Southamerican guy and I am not involved enough in Jewish and American culture.
I want to thank to you for this big piece of information about her movies . Awesome.
Did I mention that I am a huge fan of her singing and acting career ?

    1. @Edward….thanks for the nice words…..I did not like Little Fockers either….The Guilt Trip was better than I thought it was going to be.

  3. I am currently around the music industry and I definitively say tha Barbra has broken all the records in comparison with her peers. I must admit that I am true fan of hers but also
like voices like Whitney, Mariah or Jennifer (natural, transparent, crystal clear voices).
Barbra has spanned her recording through different genders, like Bossa Nova, Dance
Music, Classical, Standards and so on. And she has done it incredible well. She is the one and only . Lastly, I do not quite like her 2 live concerts, partly for the sound quality and partly for her tired voice but what else can you ask for a 73 years old girl ? But she is still NUMBER ONE. She rules !!!
