  1. I was a big David Cronenberg fan in my youth though not so much now. He’s an actor too, he has a recurring role in Star Trek Discovery.

    I’ve seen 15 of the 21 films on the chart. Favourites are – The Fly (my favourite Cronenberg film), Scanners, Videodrome, The Dead Zone, eXistenZ, Nightbreed, Eastern Promises and A History of Violence.

    The Fly tops the box office and UMR charts, Eastern Promises no.1 critics chart.

    Missing from the chart is Shivers (1976) which I saw at the cinema, it’s not a favourite. I rarely missed a big screen horror flick in my teens.
