1. Diane Colleen Lane was born  in New York City in 1965.  Lane is the daughter of acting coach Burt Lane and Playboy centerfold Colleen Farrington (Miss October 1957).

2. While filming The Outsiders (1983), co-star Tom Cruise received the script for Risky Business (1983) and asked Diane Lane to co-star with him in the film as Lana. She stated that her father would “never” let her star as a prostitute and the role went to Rebecca De Mornay.

3.  Diane Lane came very close to being cast as Vivian Ward in the blockbuster hit Pretty Woman (1990) (which had a much darker script at the time), but due to scheduling was unable to take the role. Apparently, they had even got as far as costume fittings for her, before the role eventually went to Julia Roberts.

4. Diane Lane has appeared in four films directed by Francis Ford Coppola: The Outsiders (1983), Rumble Fish (1983), The Cotton Club (1984) and Jack (1996).

5. Diane Lane’s first husband was Christopher “Highlander” Lambert and her second husband was Josh “Thanos” Brolin.

    Good choice for a YouTube video….it seems like she has been around forever. Let’s see…I have seen 24 of the movies listed….and a total of 28 of her movies. Favorites would include – #30 Must Love Dogs….one of three movies I saw on my honeymoon…the other two? SkyHigh and The Wedding Crashers…all watched at Hilton Head, South Carolina. #11 The Outsiders…what a cast! #9 Secretariat…one of the great horses…and like me….born in Virginia. #7 Streets of Fire…..fun movie. #4 Trumbo….thought this is a Bryan Cranston showcase. #1 Inside Out….funny movie.
