  1. 5/IMDB credits Emma with 73 acting awards and 172 noms; and according to Celebrity Net Worth site she has a current net fortune of $30 million.

6/In the pipeline for busy Emma are (1) Croods 2 currently in production – exclude me in when it arrives! (2) at post-production stage Cruella in which Emma plays the notorious Cruella de Ville. Her co-star is Brit Emma [Thompson] (3) at pre-production stage Babylon*** in which Emma is to play the legendary Clara Bow [the so called “IT Girl” of The Roaring Twenties] and Tobey Maguire will play Irving Thalberg. Brad Pitt is also rumored for a role in it. [I’ll be there!!] (4) also at pre-production stage a short film about opera. All-in-all Emma certainly seems to have a good acting range and to be multi-tlaented so she was a good choice from you.

*** PRODUCTION NOTES. “Actress Clara Bow (Emma Stone) was renowned in Hollywood for her excessive drinking, drug use, and romantic affairs. She boasted of her liaisons with John Gilbert, Gary Cooper, Victor Fleming, and Gilbert Roland, as well as Bela Lugosi of Dracula fame who kept a nude painting of Bow in his home.”

7/GENERAL COMMENT ON THE VIDEO: It was short but there was a lot of good things in it and the standard was fairly even throughout so my scores add up to a 97.5% rating. Steve couldn’t have done much better for us than this treat with such a relatively low number of movies.

  2. 1/I have seen 4 Emma Stone movies: The Croods; The Favourite; La-La land; and one of her Spidey outings – I can’t identify which. I couldn’t have cared less for The Croods; thought La-La Land was overrated; Spidey is – well just Spidey; and I greatly admired the Favourite.

2/On top of her movie career Emma is credited with 16 television productions from 2004-2016; a 2012 video game; 4 musical albums from 2008-16 including of course La-La Land; and she appeared as the legendary Sally Bowles in a 2014-2015 stage production of Cabaret.

3/I actually saw Emma in one of her TV productions when she guested in a 2012 episode of the “ teenybopper” show I Carly which I was obliged to watch with my granddaughter who adores the show as much as Steve likes slashers and tough guys.

4/Emma’s last television outing was in a 10 episode “dark comedy” series called Maniac of which she was also executive producer.

    1. Hi Bob, thanks for the review, generous rating, info and trivia, much appreciated.

Happy you liked the posters and stills.

Not sure what film that last still is from but I’m guessing by the web strings it could be one of the Spider-Man films.

Emma’s a pretty girl with big Manga eyes, all my recent videos featured pretty girls, but how many were as voluptuous as Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren or Ursula Andress?

Emma only arrived on the scene in 2007 in the comedy Superbad, and she’s already an Oscar-Winning actress. 1990’s top totty Meg Ryan, Demi Moore and Sharon Stone are still Oscar-free.

Three films scored 10 out of 10 from my sources – Birdman, The Favourite and La La Land. Two more scored 9 – Superbad and Zombieland.

La La Land tops IMDB charts and The Favourite is no.1 at Rotten Tomatoes.
Bruce and I have opted for Birdman in the top spot.

“I’m a big fan of Lauren Bacall. Maybe because everyone was smoking more heavily then, but that raspy, throaty quality seems to be much more prevalent in those ’40s movies. Mine was from colic when I was a baby.”

Why don’t they ever mention Myrna Loy in these quotes? jeez! [Bob smirks] 🙂

      1. HI STEVE: Yet again I have liked your feedback and will pick-up on just a couple of points.

1/”Meg Ryan, Demi Moore and Sharon Stone are still Oscar-free” you mention. Where are they now in terms of stardom whilst Emma is riding high?

2/Bacall never appealed to me as an actress or a female and she was another one of the important Hollywood stars who I though seemed to age prematurely. Others in my book were Caudette Colbert/Irene Dunne/and The Thin Woman herself who looked so old-fashioned in their prime [when they were playing wives and lovers] that they should have more ideally been playing mothers and aunts. There used to be big money in Hollywood for 40-something actresses who were willing to play the 55 year-old Al Leach’s mother

3/The great Brit author and film historian Barry Norman insisted that Bacall was never a legend in her own right but dined out on Bogie’s reflected glory.

4/”Why don’t they ever mention Myrna Loy in these quotes?” you also ask me. For goodness sake Steve – get a grip! Have you not noticed that these days The Work Horse has taken to dropping her name all over this site? Bob Hope got the reputation of being a “”name dropper” in his entertainment acts but at least he had variety [manageing to get worked into just one radio programme the names of Crosby and Brando and Golden Holden]whereas WH can’t seem to get his mind off Thins’ name alone.

5/He even goes as far as to leave out big names like for example Burt Reynolds so that he can mention Thins even though she’s an 8th billed has-been in the movie concerned which Reynold directed and in which he was billed alone above the title. WH’s excuse to me was that he has to do that so that viewers will be attracted to her page; and yet in the next breath he tells me that hers is one of his most popular pages! I mean if that’s so why not concentrate on somebody who has had a lot of viewers and who could o with the attention? It doesn’t add up for me but then I was poor at maths at school whereas WH is of course this site’s resident statistical Boy Wonder though Donald Trump may well be outing WH next for spreading Fake News.

Seriously though there are horror stories coming out of Greater Manchester and I as I’ve mentioned to you before I have close relatives on my wife’s side living in Burnley; so please do take extreme care. Best wishes

        1. Oops! Noticed too late that in my previous post to you I spelt (1) Claudette wrong in Para 2 and (2) managing wrong in para 4 . I forgot to run a spell check. Apologies

    1. Hey Chris…I think La La Land is going to be getting lots of Oscar buzz….if Tom Hanks (during his Sully pressers..he kept talking about La La Land) likes it so much….then I will see it soon….lol.

  3. Well, I recognized the name but I have not seen any of her movies. She is the same age as Bryan – right!!! Thanks for all the info – interesting as she has had some good co-stars in her movies.

  4. I was on my third car when Emma Stone was born, she’s just a baby. 18 films already! I’ve seen 10 of them. Looking at your ‘user-sortable’ tables I’ve seen her top box office film and top critics film but I haven’t seen the top moviescore film, The Help, it just didn’t interest me. I liked her in the two Spider-man films and she was good in Bird-man. Movie 43 was strange and awful and it somehow attracted some top actors

    1. Hey Steve….yep she is pretty young…but she has gotten off to a great start. Box office hits…Oscar winning movies….Oscar nominated performances….what is she missing? The Help was pretty good….it was a “watch it with the wife movie”. I have seen 16 of the 18 Stone movies….only Maraduke and her Woody Allen movie have gotten by me. As always I appreciate your visit and comment. Did you notice that your comment went right through?

      1. Nice to see my scribblings getting accepted and not labeled spam. 🙂 Young Emma has done well. Next Emma? Watson? Bunton? Thompson?
