1. Eric Banadinović was born in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia in 1968.

2. A picture of Eric Bana’s wife and child was used in Black Hawk Down (2001) for the scene where helicopter pilot Mike Durant is captured by Somalis. The prop department had forgotten to grab a picture of a wife and child for the shot, so they asked Bana’s wife, who was traveling with him, if they could use a picture of her and their child for the shot and she agreed.

3. Eric Bana began his career as a stand-up comedian.

4. Eric Bana’s two favorite are Sam Elliott and Nick Nolte. He got to work with them both in Hulk (2003).

5. Brad Pitt and Eric Bana did not use stunt doubles for their epic duel in 2004’s Troy. They made a gentlemen’s agreement to pay for every accidental hit; $50 for each light blow and $100 for each hard blow. Pitt ended up paying Bana $750, and Bana didn’t owe Pitt anything.

  1. The first Eric Bana film I saw was ‘Chopper’ so I was surprised when he turned up in other films not looking like ‘Chopper’ at all. Was it the same actor? I had to double check.

I’ve seen 13 of the 26 films on the chart, favorites are – Hulk, Troy, Munich, Black Hawk Down, Finding Nemo, King Arthur and Star Trek.

Finding Nemo tops all the charts, good to see Star Trek doing well too.

    Nice work Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve. Thanks for the feedback on our Eric Bana page. I have not seen Chomper but I want to. I have seen 19 of his movies. So I have you topped by 7movies. I have seen all of your favorites with Black Hawk Down and Star Trek being in my Top 2. Not a fan of Hulk at all…it put me to sleep twice. Sad that his rare starring role Lucky You did so poorly….it seems to have doomed him to a supporting actor versus a lead actor.

    1. Hey Dan
      1. As always thanks for the these trivia lists on Eric Bana
      2. I was surprised when I saw that he had made so few movies.
      3. I guess he is pretty selective when picking parts.
      4. That few amount of movies, means I am not surprised he did not make the Oracle list.
      5. Wow….the first list has many one-timers…and only two two-timers….C. Hines and G. Rush.
      6. 15 Oscar winners is low…but a great percentage for the amount of movies he has made.
      7. Black Hawk Down….one of my favorite movies…gets lots of mentions on the Oracle list…and nothing on the Oscar list.
      8. That makes me think….”Who has the best chance to win an Oscar that was in Black Hawk Down? Bloom? No. Hartnett? No. McGregor? Maybe. Piven? No. Hardy? Maybe. Sheppard? RIP. Sizemore? No …so I guess the hope rides with McGregor and Hardy.
      9. Good stuff as always.
