1. Kelly Kamalelehua Smith was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. in 1980. Her middle name “Kamalelehua” means ‘garden of lehuas’ in Hawaiian.
2. Kelly Preston was discovered at 16 by a fashion photographer who helped her get work in commercials and other small parts. She auditioned but lost the Brooke Shields role in 1980’s The Blue Lagoon.
3. Kelly Preston studied drama at the University of Southern California and the University of California.
4. John Travolta and Kelly Preston had two different marriage ceremonies, one week apart. Their first wedding ceremony, conducted on September 5, 1991, officiated by a French Scientologist minister, was found to be unofficial. The subsequent, official ceremony was conducted on September 12. The couple met in 1987.

I saw 10 including top 2. 10 and favorite jerry maguire. 9s not favorites: for the love of the game, addicted to love (both hidden gems). lots of 7s . 7s and hidden gems: twins, from dusk to dawn(for Steve), 52 pickup, sky high . 7s are just barely worth watching to fight boredom, like during a pandemic.

1/IMDB credits Kelly with just 1 award and 4 nominations and in today’s entertainment world of excessive quantities of both formal and informal accolades such a low figure is almost unheard of. Regretfully all of the awards/noms were Razzies.
2/Greatly compensating for that though from career and material perspectives is her quoted net worth of $ $20 million which was the figure assessed for her this year. NOTE Some sources confusingly quote $180 million; but apparently there are elements of husband John Travolta’s wealth mixed in with that.
3/I have seen her on the big screen in 10 to Midnight; Jerry Maguire; Cat in the Hat; Addicted to Love; and For Love of the Game; as well as a 1983 episode of the TV series Quincy called “On Dying High” in which she played Ginger Reeves. The episode was in the last handful of ones in Quincy’s 8th and final season.
