  1. I thought I would answer this hub first before your new hub because it will take longer to go through the Best Picture Winners.

I enjoy Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. They were living part time in Vancouver while their son was in the AAA Hockey League as a back up goalie. I’ve seen much more of her work than his.

I have seen 3 of his films so far. There are some I am interested in seeing too. In movie score order, the films I’ve seen are:

Tombstone-quite enjoyed Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday too. His career has gone downhill, though.

Executive Decision-I saw because they villain was played by David Suchet-better known as Hercule Poirot. He was extremely convincing.

    Overboard-with Goldie.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Flora, I like Kurt very much, I am so impressed that he survived being a child actor, a teen actor and now adult actor….without even a hint of scandal. His Elvis mini-series is excellent.

I liked 3,000 Miles to Graceland, but it is very very violent….I actually heard when they were making 3,000 Miles To Graceland….they let Russell edit a version and Costner edit a version of the movie….at the end they picked Costner’s action heavy version over Russell’s romantic comedy version….I have always wanted to see the Russell version.

I think the Kurt Russell movie you would like would be Swing Shift…which is where Russell and Hawn fell in love off screen…..I also would recommend Miracle..as always thanks for the comments.

  2. Was mean season based on the Zodiac Murders? Surprized only one person refered to Escape from New York/L,A, charactor. Snake. No one mentioned Big Trouble in Little China either

I did not know he was a pro baseball player. A good movie page on a good actor.

    1. Hey ruffridyer…The Mean Season was not based on the Zodiac murders…..it takes place in Florida and deals with a completely differenct serial killer. I really like Escape to New York, I really dislike Escape to Los Angeles….which I saw in the theater. Big Trouble in Little China is one unique movie, the things they put into that movie are pretty crazy.

Russell made it to Double A ball for the Dodgers before blowing out his knee…..his son with Goldie Hawn is in the minor leagues for hockey…..now that is a great gene pool. Thanks for the comments.

  3. Loved Unlawful Entry. Backdraft, Tombstone, Executive Decision, 3,000 Miles To Graceland, Breakdown, Dark Blue, Vanilla Sky and Overboard were good too.

    1. @Mr. Daydream…..glad to see you mention 3000 Miles to Graceland….I love that movie….and it just got ignored when it was in theaters. Thanks for sharing your favorite Russell movies.

  4. I am a big Kurt Russell fan. Tombstone IS one of my all-time favorites. I thought he was great in Miracle too.

    1. Hey CMerritt….I think Tombstone is the one Russell movie that I watch over and over….it just keeps getting better as time marches on

  5. I have enjoyed many Kirk Russell movies, Stargate and Executive Decision were good along with many others.
