Hey bob cox…..good to hear from you. Hope the new job is going well. Thanks for checking out our Octavia Spencer movie. I actually watched another of her movies this weekend…as I checked out Fathers and Daughters. Her role is pretty average in that one. 16 is a very sold total. Interesting point about Seven Pounds and Black and White. Many people think Seven Pounds is the movie that derailed Smith’s career for a decade. I agree with you….it is a dark movie….but gotta give him credit for doing a different role. As for Costner’s Black and White….it was much better than I thought it was going to be. The second pairing of Kevin and Octavia was received much better…as Hidden Figures was loved by everyone. Thanks for the kind words on UMR. Good feedback as always.
I saw 16 including top 7. 10 and favorite : a time to kill. 10s not favorite: the shape of water.9s not favorites: the help, spiderman, being john Malkovich. hidden gems: black or white, 7 pounds. both 8s. I feel that will smith’s and kevin Costner’s movies receive much worse reviews than I would give them. I have done the same to james dean, steve McQueen, henry fonda, jimmy cagney, and Marlon brando, so I understand. to each their own, that’s part of the immense appeal of UMR and the movies .
