  1. I saw 3. 10 and favorite xmen days of future past. 10 not favorite three billboards. no hidden gems. dinklage with minor supporting roles in all 3. not able to watch game of thrones after first episode.

  2. As Steve indicates Peter has had great success in the cult TV series Game of Thrones, which I don’t watch, and I have seen just three of the films listed in the tables above – Elf, Ice Age 2012 and X Men 2014..

IMDB credits Peter with 19 acting awards and 50 noms. Not bad going! and on top of those accolades Peter is said to have a net worth of $15 million.

Once more I am indebted to this site for expanding my hitherto limited knowledge of the career a successful modern performer.

Peter who is 4ft 4 in height is the shortest actor that I personally recall being profiled on Cogerson and when one recalls the story of how Gable’s protruding ears initially handicapped him for movie stardom, it is much to Peter’s credit that he circumvented the normally dictated image of a screen actor to build up the great success that he has.

    1. Hey Bob….I agree with the both of you….his success in Game of Thrones has made him a huge star. I bet almost all of those awards you listed are from G.O.T. Glad our website has helped expand your movie knowledge….it is only fair…since your comments do that on a regular basis. I would bet you would enjoy the HBO movie My Dinner with Herve. Good acting by lots of people in that movie…even if it was for television…lol. Good stuff.

    1. Thanks Richard. Gotta admit…I am not too aware of Ghost and Destiny….but I value your opinion. Good stuff. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Love Peter Dinklage. I first noticed him in Living in Oblivion. He has become one of the best supporting actors working today. Put him in the same class as Christopher Walken and Andy Garcia. He makes every movie better. Glad to see you take a look at his career.

    1. Hey Janice Z. Great comment on Peter Dinklage. I noticed him in Living in Oblivion, but until I did this page, I had not realized that it was his first film role. He has worked with another of my favorites Steve Buscemi in a few other lower budget quality movies as well. Interesting about him being in the same group as Christopher Walken. I guess Andy Garcia is another supporting actore these days….all three are top notch actors who make their movies better just by appearing in them. Good feedback.

  4. I’m one of the zillions of Game of Thrones fans out there and Peter Dinklage’s character Tyrion Lannister is one of my favorites. I hope he survives this final season.

Bruce, it’s ironic that Game of Thrones does not get a mention in your opening paragraphs, would there have been a UMR page on Peter if he hadn’t been so popular in GoT? 😉

I’ve seen 9 of the 34 films on the chart, favorites are – Avengers Infinity War, X-Men Days of Future Past, Ice Age, Pixels, Prince Caspian, Three Billboards and Elf.

I’ve also seen – Death at a Funeral and The Angry Birds Movie.

Peter on his short stature – “When I was younger, definitely, I let it get to me. As an adolescent, I was bitter and angry and I definitely put up these walls. But the older you get, you realize you just have to have a sense of humor. You just know that it’s not your problem. It’s theirs.”

    Nice work Bruce. Vote Up!

      1. Hey Lens Steveman…..not sure what is going on with edit comment box….seems to only work every once in awhile. Sorry I have not been able to fix these pain in the boot issue. Will keep working on it.

    1. Hey Steve…..thanks for the visit to our Peter Dinklage page. I resisted including Game of Thrones in his summary box….but that is easily why he is known these days. I am still at the end of season 3….so I will have to wait awhile to see if he survives Season 8.

I have seen 24 of his movies….with I Think We Are Alone being high on my list of movies to watch. I would highly recommend The Station Agent….that is an excellent movie, with perhaps the best performance of Dinklage’s career. Of your favorites…I have seen all of them….including you two no so favorites. My girls love Pixels….and it looks pretty good in 3D. His scene in Elf (when he is running on the table is my favorite scene in that movie).

Good quote from Mr.Dinklage. Good to see him getting so many kudos for his acting. One movie that is not on the table (one of those damn tv movies), My Dinner with Herve is also worth checking out….sad movie but some really good performances. Added bonus you get Andy Garcia as Ricardo Montlaban. Good stuff as always.
