Pixar Movies vs DreamWorks Movies Can Be Ranked 7 Ways In The Table Below

The really cool thing about this table is that it is “user-sortable”. Rank the movies anyway you want.

  • Movie title and with a link to the movie’s trailer.
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by which company produced the movie and the voice star of the movie
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by adjusted domestic box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by adjusted worldwide box office grosses using current movie ticket cost (in millions)
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by critic reviews and audiences voting.  60% rating or higher should indicate a good movie.
  • Sort by how many Oscar® nominations and how many Oscar® wins each Pixar Movie and DreamWorks Movie received.
  • Sort Pixar Movies and DreamWorks Movies by Ultimate Movie Rankings (UMR) Score.  UMR Score puts box office, reviews and awards into a mathematical equation and gives each movie a score.  The ceiling to earn points for box office is $200 million…once a movie passes that mark it stops earning points in that category.
  • You can use the search and sort buttons to make this table very interactive.

  1. HTTYD is definitely my favourtie all time computer animation, even though in general Pixar tends to be better. Completely agree with Matt –

    1. Hey Scarlett….I am glad to see HTTYD getting so much respect. I am looking forward to the sequel which is coming soon…..and I also can highly recommend the BluRay 3d version of HTTYD as it makes it look like a brand new movie. Thanks for the thoughts.

    1. @John……true Disney is gaining on these two…..but I have a separate Disney page….as well as a Computer Animated Page…..that ranks almost 120 movies….and it has Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, Fox and everybody else…..there are actually so many new computer animated movies that it is very hard to keep that page current.

  2. You should modernize your html to use sortable tables. I want to view them in “Critics Audience Rating” order; not the only option of opening weekend order.

I thought this movie was just ok. I’m glad I saw it but I would have been happy to wait for the home release. I think Dr. Blowhole would have been a better big screen villain. (although the octopus henchmen were better than the lobster henchmen.)

    1. Thanks for stopping by Jill. I think many people are like your kids….Monsters Inc is in the Top Ten according to critics and audiences….while Monster U is in 18th place and will fall out of the Top 20 as the votes seem to be pulling down it’s rating with each passing day.
