  1. The teeth Rami Malek wore as Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody were somewhat distracting but later I read that the real Freddie’s teeth were even more prominent! Malek played the role well and I enjoyed the film but it’s not a favorite.

I’ve seen 6 of the 16 films on the chart, favorites are the Night at the Museum films, Battleship and I enjoyed Need for Speed too.

Bohemian Rhapsody was a megahit. I don’t think anyone expected it to take off the way it did. The cinema equivelant of a video ‘going viral’ on the internet I would say.

Looking forward to the upcoming Bond movie.

    Good stuff Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve. Good thoughts on Rami Malek. I enjoyed Bohemian Rhapsody a lot. I was a big Queen fan growing up….so seeing some of the behind the scenes stuff was fascinating. And this is coming from a non-music person. Tally count. Cogerson 12, Steve 6 and Bob with 4. I am not surprised you are looking forward to a Bond movie….lol. Thanks for the vote up and stopping by.

  2. Rami doesn’t have many connections or Oscar workers he’s appeared with. This is based only on films released that he appears in. When Dolittle comes out next week he will add at least 3 Oscar winners and a number of other people on the Oracle of Bacon Top 1000 Center of the Hollywood Universe list. He also appears with Oscar winner Christophe Waltz in No Time to Die. He appeared in the Master which features Joaquin Phoenix and Laura Dern who could win Oscars (I have more faith in Dern).

Here are the people on the list (pre Dolittle) that Rami has appeared with.

    1. I meant to say I had no faith in Joaquin Phoenix winning, it will be a cold day in hell before the academy recognizes acting in superhero/villain films. I think Dern will win.

      1. Understood….and I edited your comment to get rid of the extra lists. Thanks for sharing this information with us.

    2. Hey Dan. Good lists. I see you are thinking ahead. Hmmmm….no win for Phoenix but one for Dern. I can see that. Phoenix’s post Golden Globe press conference and his Golden Globe acceptance speech might have turned off some voters. I think Adam Driver has a great chance for a win this year. Looking at the first list…Night At The Museum is well represented. Second list is small….but like you ….I suspect it will rise…and rise quickly if his career takes off. Good stuff as always.

    1. Hey Taylor…great point on the fact is a rapidly rising star….his Bond villain role might make him a superstar. Good stuff.

  3. Since his 2004 acting debut Rami has been prolific in his output. On top of his big-screen career his CV reads-

1/acting/voice role contribution to 49 episodes of 10 TV series.

2/Main role in the TV series Mr Robot of which there have been so far 46 episodes over 4 seasons from 2015-2019. Malek produced 23 of the episodes in seasons 3 and 4, 2017-2019.

    3/Five theatrical productions 2002-2007

    4/Three video games 2004-2015.

5/A Podcast in 2019 called Blackout – voice role in, and producer of, same.

6/on top of No Time to Die mentioned by Bruce above Rami has at post-production stage The Little Things a serial killer thriller in which he shares star billing with the great Denzel Washington and Jared Leto. I can’t wait for its release.

Rami has clearly “arrived” and is obviously one of the modern crop of thespians who is continuing to earn his Cogerson page even as we write. Already he has chalked up a net worth of $8 million and IMDB credits him with 21 acting awards and 46 noms.

I have seen just 4 of his movies: Larry Crowne; two of the Night at the Museum trio [I often find it difficult to remember precisely which and how man of the films in those endless franchises that I have watched] and The Master. Certainly the thought-association concept suggests Rami’s connection with a movie bearing the title of the latter one should in itself make Rami a perennial favourite on the Cogerson site!!

    1. Hey Bob….thanks for the thoughts on Rami Malek. I agree with you 100%…..the man has been busy busy since making his acting debut. Good information on all of his other roles that are not listed here. His 2020 could another great year for him…with 3 movies coming out. I will be adding The Little Things to the trailer page as soon as it drops. Tally count. 4 for you… and 12 for me…wow….I am almost a Malek completist….and did not even know it. Good stuff.
