  1. Hi, I am surprised that the Da Vinci Code wasn’t the top selling film, it is definitely my favorite, but forrest gump now that was something special! great review,

    1. Hey Nell Rose….when I started doing these hubs I did not think about using worldwide box office…..as I thought North America box office was enough…but as I have come to realize….many of the people that read my hubs are not from the United States…..so I am working on including worldwide box office…..and when that happens you will see Da Vinci Code movie up to 2nd or 3rd place as it was a monster hit thoughout the world.

I appreciate the visit, the share and the compliment…they are all greatly appreciated.

    1. Hey JosiahHuffman….I agree with you…it is very cool about Hanks being related to Lincoln….I am surprised Hanks is not playing Lincoln in the upcoming Spielberg movie called Lincoln…I mean Hanks and Spielberg are buddies and have worked together numerous times…and it is about Hanks’ relative….how come they did not connect those dots? Thanks for stopping by.

  2. I like Tom Hanks a lot, but not all of his films; and would have liked to have seen him as Batman.

My favorites are Road to Perdition, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, and Cast Away. I also like that he is interested in the US space programs, whatever form they take in the future.

    1. Hey Patty Inglish….thanks for the visit and the comment. Hanks as Batman….a very interesting idea. I am sure at the time they (Batman fanatics) would have been freaking out like the way they did when Michael Keaton got the role….but it turned out pretty well with Keaton. I am sure in about 5 years the search will be on for the next Batman…and maybe down the road….we will see Hanks playing another Batman character…like Alfred or Gordon.

The favorites you list are excellent movies….I think Hanks is more interested in producing than acting and his Moon projects have been outstanding.

  3. Oh…yes, the ending made me cry……but then, showing Hooch’s pups and Tom Hanks talking to them and telling them the rules of the house, dried up my tears. Hooch came back in a whole litter!!

    1. Hey fpherj48….true the ending of Turner and Hooch was good….and I guess Hooch joins that elusive crowd of famous dogs that go to doggie heaven in a movie….Old Yeller, Hooch, Marley and John Wayne’s dog in Hondo….I think his name was Dog…come to immediate mind.
