Hey Dan…thanks for the tally count on Anthony Michael Hall. I have seen 14 of the movies…so another victory for you. I have seen some inteviews with the adult Hall….I can tell you the man knows movies. Stanley Kubrick wanted him for the Matthew Modine role in Full Metal Jacket, Good stuff as always.
Having only ever seen Michael in just The Breakfast Club and not being able to immediately recall him in it he is to me the least familiar of the Brat Pack. Indeed I have really only ever been aware of him BECAUSE of his membership of that illustrious 1980s pack.
Like all the other “core” members of The Brat Pack Michael is still going strong nearly 40 years after The Pack was ‘formed’. He has recently been appearing as a supporting character in the TV series The Goldbergs. It aired in 2013 and has run for 9 seasons, Michael appearing in it for 6 episodes since season 7 in 2019 and it is booked for a 10th series.
Also Michael has 3 movies in the pipeline and he is the top-billed star of all 3. First up is The Class scheduled for Sept 9 release. Here is its plotline – sound familiar?:

On the negative side of his recent life Michael was charged with felony assault and serious bodily harm in 2016 following confrontation with a neighbour and did community service; the neighbour also filed a civil suit against him.

Hey Bob. Thanks for the feedback on Anthony Michael Hall. I have seen 14 of his movies….and have vivid memories of noticing him pretty earl. He was the first son in the Chevy Chase Vacation movies, the geek in Sixteen Candles, one of the mad scientists in Weird Science and of course the “Club”. He beefed up pretty quick, as he was the bad guy in Edward Scissorhands. I had not heard of his issues with his neighbor. Good info on his upcoming projects. Last year he had a big role in Halloween 44…..though spoiler alert he will not be back in Halloween 45. Good stuff.
