  1. Johnny Depp is one of the few actors that really lives up to the title. Although may are intrigued by the “Pirates” collection (of which he performed exceptionally well) my favorites of in his earlier works. Edward Scissorhands, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?” and my favorite, Benny & Joon demonstrated that this individual was not the run of the mill young star that would soon flare out, but one that would remain around for years. Great Job, as always!

    1. Thanks for the nice words rcrumple. I wonder if he will ever go back to those smaller movies with good roles

  2. Wow! You are a movie maven and movie page writing hound. I aspire to write the high quality hubs you write. Oh and of course the fact this page is about Johnny Depp doesn’t hurt either.

    1. Hey nikkiraeink ..thanks for such kind words in your comment they are greatly appreciated. Hopefully this movie page is worthy of Mr. Depp and his page following…thanks for the visit.

  3. I thought Dark Shadows was a great movie. I can’t say he is particularly one of my favorite actors but this was a excellent movie.

    1. Hey justbeth16….it seems that Dark Shadows is already getting a nice following….I was surprised that it did not perform better at the box office thanks for the visit and the comment.

  4. I love Johnny Depp as an actor. He always puts a “Depp” spin to the characters that he plays. I thought Dark Shadows was a great movie. I remember my family watching the t.v. show when I was a kid, though I was too young to watch it. I have to disagree with the critics and audiences about his top 10 movies though.

    1. Hey daskittlez69….I am looking forward to seeing Dark Shadows as I have enjoyed almost all of the Burton/Depp movies. I think Ed Wood is an interesting movie…but I agree that it is not his best movie at all…thanks for the visit and the comment.

  5. Johnny Depp….he’s a cutey….actually he’s hot, even to an old bag like me who could do him no harm!! lol My eldest son was just talking to me about “Rango,” and telling me he had laughed harder than he has since he was a kid….Personally, I love Capt. Jack Sparrow! I also liked Sweeney and the really old one, Gilbert Grape. I was blown away by Leonardo in that one…..he was just a kid but a powerful actor already. Thanks Cogerson….another ACE page!

    1. Hey fpher48….thanks for checking out my new and improved Johnny Depp hub….I feel proud I was able to spell your name without checking to see if I made a mistake…the first dozen or so times I spelled your name I made some really bad mistakes.

I can watch him in Pirates 1: The Curse of the Black Pearl over and over….not as big a fan of the later ones…Rango is very funny…the perfect combination of humor for both adults and children…as my 5 year old loves the movie as well. Leo is awesome in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape…he overshadows Depp in that movie…maybe they will make another together sometime in the future….thanks for the comments and the compliment.

      1. hahahahahah…Cogerson, I’m proud of you too, but it’s fpherj48. I know you’ll believe me when I tell you that our friend Sunshine came right out and asked me to explain my name (she cracks me up) So I wrote and told her how I put it together…& she wrote back and said “Oh, I see, well I’m glad I know because I’ve been calling you, “EFFER” J…so now I sign my emails to her that way. She calls me her effer!

        1. Hey fpherj48….wow there I was patting myself on the back and I forgot the “j” in your name…..well I feel I will never forget the “j” again. Sunshine625 cracks me up as well….I can not figure out where she finds the time to be everywhere on HubPages, twitter, facebook and still take care of her family. I think effer and fpherj48 are both cool names.
