Johnny Depp started out his movie career playing secondary parts in movies like and Nightmare on Elm Street and Platoon. Johnny Depp is one of the few actors that really lives up to the title. Although may are intrigued by the “Pirates” collection (of which he performed exceptionally well) my favorites of in his earlier works. Edward Scissorhands, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?” and my favorite, Benny & Joon demonstrated that this individual was not the run of the mill young star that would soon flare out, but one that would remain around for years. Great Job, as always!

I love Johnny Depp as an actor. He always puts a “Depp” spin to the characters that he plays. I thought Dark Shadows was a great movie. I remember my family watching the t.v. show when I was a kid, though I was too young to watch it. I have to disagree with the critics and audiences about his top 10 movies though.

I can watch him in Pirates 1: The Curse of the Black Pearl over and over….not as big a fan of the later ones…Rango is very funny…the perfect combination of humor for both adults and children…as my 5 year old loves the movie as well. Leo is awesome in What’s Eating Gilbert Grape…he overshadows Depp in that movie…maybe they will make another together sometime in the future….thanks for the comments and the compliment.
