  1. 1/I have seen 4 of Maggie’s movies in the above tables: The Dark Knight/Monster House/Mona List Smile/Crazy Heart.

2/On top of her film career Wikipedia credits Maggie with 11 television roles and 5 stage plays.

3/IMDB credits her with 21 acting awards and 47 noms; and Celebrity Net Worth site says her net fortune is currently $15 million

4/Maggie this year appeared in a lowly-billed cameo in the musical Best Summer Ever released on 10 Oct. [after WH provided this page]. None of the other cast members are familiar to me. “A fresh and exhilarating take on the beloved teen musical genre featuring eight original songs and a fully integrated cast and crew of people with and without disabilities.” [IMDB notes]. Its production budget was just $600,000 and it runs for only 72 mins.

5/In the pipeline for Maggie at post-production stage is the drama Lost Daughter starring Oscar-hot Olivia Colman. Maggie produces/directs and has written this one but as far as I am aware has no starring role “A woman’s beach vacation takes a dark turn when she begins to confront the troubles of her past”.

6/mature 43-year-old Maggie is clearly a versatile multi-function artist so this new page is “Voted Up!” being a solid profile of her career.

  2. i saw 4 , 1 of top 5. 10 and favorite dark knight, non UMR confessions of a dangerous mind 10 and favorite. 9 stranger than fiction a hidden gem. other hidden gems white house down , mona lisa smile.

    1. Hey bob cox….thanks for the thoughts on Maggie Gyllenhaal. Tally count…18 for me and 4 for you. I am right there with you on Dark Knight. I did not include Confessions of a Dangerous Mind because it was listed as an uncredited role…but now I see her part actually had a name… I will add that one in. I guess I will have to update the book again. Doing some final tweaks on it…and then WoC and I plan on spending some money on actually advertising it…..we saved some money on the cover…so planning on spending it on advertising this time around. Speaking of the book….if you want a copy….I can send you one.

      1. Cogerson, i got one of your great new book, Ranking Today’s Movie Stars, on amazon. thanks very much. enjoying it. like the cover.

  3. Maggie was a late edition to our book, Ranking Today’s Movie Stars. And she was an even later addition to the UMR website. I have seen 18 of her movies. I did not realize that she had not really been making movies over the last 5 years…no movies in theaters since 2014. I guess I need to pay more attention.
