Hey Flora…your Royal/Greg vote is duly noted. Tally count: Cogerson 24, Steve 21 and you at 18. I am surprised that (a) I won this tally count and (b) that you got third place. I have seen all of your favorites and 5 of your “others”. The Trouble With Harry is far from being one of my favorite Hitchcock movies. Good stuff as always.
You don’t know Royal Dano. Do you know his son Paul. Pau’s been in some pretty good films like Ruby Sparks with Zoe Kazan who is the mother of his child. He played Robert De Niro’s son in Being Flynn and Harrison Ford’s son in Cowboys &. Aliens. He played the younger version of Brian Wilson in Love and Mercy with John Cusack playing the older version. That was my best film of 2014.
Daddy, good ole Royal is # 629 on the 2020 Oracle of Bacon list. He has been as high as # 155 back in 2000. These are the actors on the current list he has appeared with.

1. Thanks as always for the comment, lists and visit.
2. I am very aware of Paul Dano, but like another person mentioned Paul is not Royal’s son….I wonder if their family trees cross at some point?
3. So Royal is in the Top 1000. That is pretty surprising. His movie career total is not that high for a character actor that worked so long…granted he appeared in lots of television movies and television shows.
4. Number 155 at one point…another interesting fact.
5. Looking at the first list….pretty epic…with Paul Fix leading the way with 6 movies with Royal.
6. 32 Oscar winning stars is about average…I would have guessed higher…but I guess all those westerns kept him away from some Oscar winners.
