  1. I saw 9 including 6 of top 9. 10 not favorite: midway. 9s and favorites: killers (a very hidden gem a UMR 20.3) and Quigley down under with lara san giocomo and alan Rickman a hidden gem. 8 in and out a hidden gem, an innocent man a 8 and hidden gem

    1. I also saw 5 of his jesse stone movies made for tv. his top 8 jesse stone movies were rated 3.2/5 or above on letterboxd ahead of midway a 3.1.
Selleck was a strong leading man on television, a likeable, john wayne type with a great mustache

  2. Magnum at the UMR, nice.

Today’s generation probably knows Selleck best as Monica’s love interest in Friends.

I’ve seen 8 Tom Selleck films, less than I thought. Favorites are – Quigley Down Under, Runaway, Meet the Robinsons and Midway.

Three Men and a Baby remains Selleck’s biggest movie hit, I’ve only seen it once back in the 80s on video rental, I didn’t bother with the sequel.

    Good work Bruce. Vote Up!

    1. Hey Steve. Thanks for checking out our Magnum page. I agree…younger people probably know him from Friends….though Blue Bloods (one of my mom’s favorite shows) has actually been on television longer than Magnum was. Tally count. 13 for me and 8 for you. I have seen all of your favorites. A recent re-visit to Runaway was not a good one…seems more of a comedy than the science fiction movie I remember from my teenage days. I saw 3 Men and a Baby in theaters….it was alright…saw the sequel on VHS….it was ok at best….thankfully a third one never got made…at least so far. Good stuff as always.

    1. Add for Tom

386 PAUL GUILFOYLE (II) 3 Men and a Baby (1987)
      865 PHILIP BOSCO 3 Men and a Baby (1987)
      566 STEVE GUTTENBERG 3 Men and a Baby (1987)

    2. Hey Dan…thanks for the feedback on Magnum. I wonder who is the bigger star Ted Danson or Tom Selleck? A close call….but I give Selleck the edge….if only because he did all the heavy lifting in his movies. Though Danson has him in television history. Not surprised that Selleck is not on the Oracle list. Looking at the first list…a few tied with 2 movies with Tom…..but interesting to see John Carradine, Dan Hedaya and Wilford Brimley in the same sentence. 11 Oscars winning co-stars is low…but not bad considering he has not made many movies….good stuff as always.

  4. I have seen 13 of his movies. His early 1980s movies (Runaway, Lassiter and High Road To China) played on HBO all the time when I was a teenager. Favorties would include Runaway, Midway (blink and you will miss him) and Mr. Baseball (actually have a baseball card with him and Frank Thomas).
