Don’t know where else to put this announcement – Actor Christopher Lawford, oldest child of Peter and Pat Lawford has died at 63 years old.
Thanks Flora….RIP Christopher Lawford.
How about some articles on Hispanic actors ? I like your webpage but feel a slight injustice to the likes of many. Oh the countless subjects here only twice have concentrated on people with Hispanic origins. Even then, thinking people think Tony Quinn is Greek and Cameron Diaz is white. Possible subject matters. Antonio, Ricardo, Benito, Javier, Benjamin Bratt, Andy Garcia, Micheal Pena just to name a few.
Bruce: Ricardo Montalban and Rita Moreno are classic Hollywood era actors who would make great subjects for a UMR page.
Hey Flora….I agree with you 100%, Ricardo Montalban and Rita Moreno would make great UMR subjects… thanks for the feedback.
Hey Bandaras Fan…..thanks for all the suggestions…no injustice is intended…..we generally do not pick any UMR subject based on age, race, religion or nationality. Requests are a huge reason why we pick our subjects. So I will be happy to add this collection of thespians on the list of requests. I think Ricardo Montalban would make a great addition…..Michael Pena is interesting as well…as he seems to be in almost every movie these days. Antonio Banderas’ career started off strong…but it has not been as impressively lately….but I did enjoy his Gun Shy….he is very funny in that one. Thanks for the feedback….I will try and get one of these requests done quickly.
Never said I could spell.??
It’s ok Bandaras Fan…I can’t spell either.
Hey Bandaras Fan……well…it is not a Antonio Bandaras page…but we now have a Ricardo Montalban page. https://www.ultimatemovierankings.com/ricardo-montalban-movies/
Once again….thanks for the suggestion.
Hello everybody,
Here is the new page about 1927’s american box office :
http://www.boxofficestory.com/box-office-usa-1927-top-11-a-20-a147164894
I wish you good vacations and a good end of summer.
Another excellent link……will be using in the near future….down to three 1970s years to do…and then headed to 1929. Thanks as always for sharing this information here.
Hey Bruce,
Hope you are fine.
I propose you to start a new top 50 American box office silent film, with 1927. Particularly interesting year, both from the point of view of box office, as the quality of the films, but above all because it is a key year in the history of cinema since he became a speaker.
Enjoy!

Hey Laurent…thanks for the link. As always…..this is good information. As for the next yearly page….planning on finishing the 1970s (have 4 years left to do 74,75,77 and 1978. After that I will probably do 1929…and depending on how many movies we have in the database for the rest of the 1920s …we will decide probably on a year by year basis. Thanks again for the link and the suggestions.
Hey Bruce,
It’s a good news because I think you’ll have done 1929 well before me at the rate I’m going Lol.
Hey Laurent. It might be a close race to see who gets to 1929 first. I do a yearly page about every 7 pages….so doing the math, our 1929 page might be the 35th page we do. As we still have the 4 1970s years to do. But when I get there, I will be sure to use your research.
Technical glitch with the security…. SSL and CDN conflicted… yadda, yadda, yadda. I think we are live again after assistance from our webhost provider.
Thanks for the information, WoC. I did have trouble getting on this site this morning.I am glad that the technical glitch is fixed.
