Christian Bale Movies

Want to know the best Christian Bale movies?  How about the worst Christian Bale movies?  Curious about Christian Bale’s box office grosses or which Christian Bale movie picked up the most Oscar® nominations? Need to know which Christian Bale movie got the best reviews from critics and audiences? Well you have come to the right place….because we have all of that information and much much more.

I have been a huge Christian Bale fan ever since I saw him in Steven Spielberg’s Empire of the Sun. The first time I saw Empire of the Sun, I thought it was two child actors playing the role of Jamie Graham. It was just Bale. The movie covers World War II over the years 1937 to 1945. In my opinion it is one of the best performances from a child actor ever

As he got older, Bale graduated from mostly supporting roles to lead actor by 2000’s American Psycho. In 2005 he was cast as Bruce Wayne in the Batman reboot. This reboot has produced monster hits in Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. He played Bruce Wayne/Batman three times in The Dark Knight trilogy. Since becoming Batman, Bale has also managed to star in the hits The Prestige, 3:10 to Yuma, and Terminator Salvation. Christian Bale’s The Fighter won him the Academy Award® and Golden Globe® as Best Supporting Actor for The Fighter.  About the only bad thing to happen to Bale in the last few years is the release of his infamous rant on the set of Terminator Salvation.

His IMDb page shows over 50 acting credits since 1986. This page will rank Christian Bale movies from Best to Worst in six different sortable columns of information. Television appearances, shorts, cameos and movies that were not released in theaters were not included in the rankings.

  2. By the time that Christian got round to playing Batman I had grown tired of and bored with the whole superhero/action hero franchise scene but I enjoyed him in American Psycho and Portrait of a Lady.

On top of his prolific big screen career detailed above Christian appeared in 5 TV productions between 1986 and 1999 and indeed his overall screen debut was in 1986’s television miniseries Anastastia: The Mystery of Anna.

The Celebrity Net Worth site assesses Christian’s current net worth at a lucrative $120 million; and IMDB credits him with a whopping great haul of 79 acting awards and 126 nominations.

In the pipeline for him are 2 movies at pre-production stage: Thor: Love and Thunder and an untitled David O’Russell project which is apparently a comedy co-starring Margot Robbie.

My listings of personal fave posters/stills in the video will follow later today/early tomorrow.

    1. Right there with Towensend…..he is one of my favorites as well. At this point, he might end up being the only reason I watch the Oscars….if his Satan comment does not take away an Oscar nomination. Thanks for stopping by.

  3. One of my favorite actors, maybe the best Batman, real close with Keaton. On to the data.

    Seen: 16/40 or 40%
Favorite Top 10: The Presitge, one of my all-time favorite movies.
UMR Snub (Too High or Too Low): 2-No way should Pocahontas be in the Top 10 and Equilibrium is far too low, extremely underrated movie.
Guilty Pleasure: Reign of Fire, of course! I can watch it anytime

    1. Hey BryRog57….thanks for the Bale comment….sorry it took so long to respond to it. With just seeing Vice…I have now seen 35 of the 42 movies listed on the page…or 83% of the movies. Glad to see you like The Prestige so much…..it is one of my favorites of the last 15 years. I agree with you about Reign of Fire…a guilty pleasure without a doubt! Good comment.
