Hey Pierre….yep that was Holly Hunter in Copycat….that was pretty much the end of her leading lady in a big budget movie days. Now she either offers support in big budgets or is the lead in low budget movies….but she is still bringing solid performances to the table. Thanks for the return visit to this page.

    Hello
I was writing about the série « succession « and I saw a few days ago some episodes
And one of the players was simply Holly Hunter, so I have to write that I did not recognise her at the first time but I was thinking I know that face and this voice and I was asking me is it her??
So I read the générique at the end and I saw her name but I was not sure because Copycat is so far away……..
    Hélas …..for us…..

      Hello Woc, Hello Bruce,
I made this comment on the Holly Hunter page on the 12 September 2019, because I think she deserves it and I love that film Copycat but I have to write that this day I drink a lot of Chardonnay so I forgot it so when I was on the site last night to write a comment on the Newest page I read it again and it was not so bad even if I really drunk to much but I did not found your return.
Is it possible that it was lost or may be on a other page.
Could you sent me again please
      Bye
      Pierre

Only 31 films for Holly Hunter? I was expecting more.

I’ve seen 11 of the 31, which is about what I expected. Favorites are – Incredibles 1-2, Batman v Superman, Always, The Firm, Raising Arizona and A Life Less Ordinary.

I haven’t seen The Piano but I still remember 11 year old Anna Paquin’s priceless reaction when she won the Supporting Oscar for that film. The poor little girl was almost hyperventilating and speechless when she got to the podium. Check out the youtube video and see her reaction. 🙂

    Nice work Bruce. Vote Up!

      Hey Steve
      1. Thanks for the visit, comment and tally count.
      2. Tally counts. Me 20, bob cox 13, you 11 and Flora 3
      3. I agree her total of 31 movies seems on the low side …especially for a career that is approaching 40 years.
      4. Glad to see A Life Less Ordinary on your favorites list…as that is one of my favorites as well.
      5. As for The Piano….a one and done movie for me.
      6. Thanks for attaching Paquin’s Oscar moment….I remember it very well.
      Good stuff.
