- Sort 2005 Movies by domestic box office grosses
- Sort 2005 Movies by wordwide box office grosses

Dirty Love appears to have a 46 Rank Penalty (350 to 397)
As for Dirty Love…and a couple of the others at the bottom….for some reason it’s lowly score is not registering…..granted….those scores are .04, .04 and .02 for Dirty Love…so they are being ranked with all the other movies in our database with a .00 score….which normally means…the movie is missing some information and does not make the table. It should be fixed the next time the entire database has an update…probably tonight. Good catch as always.
“Cry Wolf” should be “Cry_Wolf”
Hey Sidney…..Cry Wolf has been changed to Cry_Wolf. Good catch. Thanks.
Looking at the chart I’ve seen about 90 of the 350(!) films on there. Less than I thought.
Checking my files – there are 129 films from 2005 in my movie collection. Which makes me think I’ve probably miscounted on the big chart, but I’m not going thru all that again.

Aeon Flux

zz-Japan Anime – Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children
Top rated films I haven’t seen include – Brokeback Mountain, Good Night and Good Luck and Pride & Prejudice. (But I did see Pride & Prejudice & Zombies) 🙂
Most watched films from 2005, probably – Star Wars III, Batman Begins, Mr and Mrs. Smith, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy and War of the Worlds.
Star Wars III couldn’t even beat Harry Potter IV at the worldwide box office, tsk tsk how things have changed. No wonder Lucas was happy to sell Star Wars to Disney. Now we have Avengers IV beating Star Wars VII and VIII on worldwide grosses. Oh the humanity! 😉
Another epic movie year page Bruce. Good work and Vote Up!
Hey Steve.
1. Thanks for checking out this yearly review. It has been strange not producing yearly reviews….it took so long to finish this project…now I feel empty….lol.
2. Ah….now your tally count reaches close to triple digits….with almost 130 movies in your collection…it seems your “real” total reaches 100….granted my table only shows about a third of the movies released in 2005.
3. Seen all of your favorites…except for Final Fantasy VII – Advent Children.
4. We agree on Sin City, Kingdom of Heaven (director’s cut), Batman Begins and Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
5. Of Brokeback Mountain, Good Night and Good Luck and Pride & Prejudice…I would recommend…gasp…..George Clooney’s Good Night and Good Luck the most. P & P is decent but be done so many times.
6. Speaking of movies remade so many times…I can not believe yet another version of Little Women is getting so much Oscar buzz. Heck I think there have been 2 other versions in the last 5 years alone.
7. Yep….Harry was able to top Star Wars in worldwide box office…I guess he had a unique light saber color…lol.
Good stuff!
Hey bob cox….thanks for checking out this yearly review. 81 seen..you are getting so close to triple digits. I admit…it took awhile for me to see Brokeback Mountain as well. Of your 10s…we agree on Batman Begins….what a way to relaunch the franchise. I liked War of the Worlds for about 75% of the movie..then it fell apart for me. I saw Must Love Dogs with WoC on our honeymoon….we saw three movies that week…Must Love Dogs, Sky High (the kids were with us) and The Wedding Crashers. V for Vendetta is actually on my pile of movies to watch…..it is second in line behind Greta…..actually it will be the third time I see it…..love it as well. Because of Winn-Dixie has the 101st spot on the massive table. Good feedback.
I saw 81 including 21 of top 21, I missed number 1 possibly due to homophobia. 10s and favorites: hitch, mr and mrs smith. 10s not favorites: capote, war of the worlds, batman begins. 9s anf favorites in her shoes, must love dogs, constatine. 9s not favorites: crash(listed as 2004 in letterboxd) star wars 3 : revenge of the stith, harry potter: goblet of fire, walk the line, v for vendetta, brick, munich, serenity, goodnight and good luck, ciderella man, hidden gems : the constant gardener, Syriana, a history of violence, thank you for smoking, lord of war, dreamer, the upside of anger, because of winn dixie( I did not see in UMR,
